OMG, We almost lost Emma in the Weaver River!! 😱😱😱

So the above picture is after Emma had been successfully rescued from the river!  😅  We were going to a white water rafting this morning.  We got on the boat fine and were ready to go down the river.  Then, the guide realized that one of his oars was not the right one so he decided to pull the boat to the side of the river where the bushes were.  The guide jumped off the boat to grab a new oar but the part of the river was deeper than he expected so he had a hard time controlling the boat.  The boat got pushed into the bushes.  Emma lost her balance and fell off the boat!  The current was pretty fast!  When Michael screamed and I looked, Emma was floating down the river fast!!  I tried to grab her but to no avail.  Michael, of course, reacted MUCH faster than me and jumped in the river to chase her and help her!  Fortunately, he was able to grab her and swam to the side of the river until we were able to get to them with the boat.  They had to hold on to the tree branches.  It was scary!! 😱   (The guide was not in a position to go help her either.)  But nobody got hurt except for few scratches from being pushed into the bushes and we enjoyed the rest of the ride so all is good.  Thank goodness for Michael’s quick action!  🙏

上の写真は、エマが川から救助された後の写真です。今日は朝から、ホワイトウォーターラフティング（急流下り？）をすることにしていました。全員ボートに乗ってこぎ始めたら、ガイドのお兄ちゃんが「あ、このオールじゃダメだ」とか言って、いったん川岸に戻り始めました。で、代わりのオールを取るためにボートから川に飛び込んだら、思った以上に深かったみたいで、水の中からボートがうまくコントロールできない様子。で、私たちの乗っているボートはだんだんと川岸のトゲトゲした薮の方に押されて行きました。（痛い！！）そしたら、エマがバランスを失って、ボートから落ちてしまいました。マイケルが「エマ！！」って叫んで振り返った時には、エマはどんどん川に流されて行ってしまってます。私もなんとか、できないかと手を伸ばしたりしたのですが（って、すっごい意味のないパニックの行動、、、汗）、どんどん遠くに行ってしまう！そういう時に、とっさに行動できるのが、さすがマイケル。あっという間に川に飛び込んで、エマを助けに行きました。幸い、結構すぐに追いついて、エマを川岸に連れて行ってくれました。その間、流されないように木に捕まってなくちゃいけなくて、見てて怖かったです。😱　（ちなみに、ガイドさんも川の中のボートの後ろ側にいたので助けにいけない状況でした。）とにかく、特に大きな怪我もなく、その後は無事に楽しく急流下り終わらせました。マイケルの素早い行動に感謝、感謝です。🙏
